| Sponsor a Bid Day Basket for the Delta Pi Fall 2010 New Member Class |
|
Delta Pi chapter is preparing to welcoming as many as 45 new women into our Alpha Gamma Delta sisterhood. The chapter is excited about putting together a fun tote bag for our new members, which will include a Bid Day T-shirt as well as a few other items the members will be able to enjoy throughout their New Member Period.
You can be a part of our New Members experience and impart a strong sense of continuing sisterhood by sponsoring a Bid Day gift. The baskets can be sponsored for a fee of $20. Please make your donations by September 15, 2010.
Please be sure to include your chapter and pledge class on your check, as we will be including cards with all Bid Day baskets, which read:
“Welcome to our sisterhood! Loyally, __________ ________, ________Chapter, New Member Class _______.”

| Delta Pi Chapter Wins Annulet Honor Roll Award at Alpha Gamma Delta Convention |
|
Close to 1000 Alpha Gamma Delta collegiate members, advisors and alumnae from all over the United States and Canada traveled to the 49th Alpha Gamma Delta Convention in Tampa, FL from June 23rd to June 27th. The Delta Pi chapter had six members in attendance.
The highlight for the chapter was the being recognizied with the Annulet Honor Roll Award. The Annulet is the most prestigious award given to a Alpha Gamma Delta collegiate chapter that has shown outstanding excellence in all areas of fraternity life. Delta Pi was recognizied for chapters size 66 - 94. We could not be more proud of this honor!
Delta Pi was also a 5-Star Chapter for outstanding achievement in scholarship, membership, leadership, philanthropy and sisterhood.
Kirsten, Sarah, Alex, Melissa, Jessica and Lisa hold the Annulet award at the Alpha Gamma Delta Convention.

| Delta Pi volunteers at 12th Annual Madden Mariucci Bocce Tournament |
The Delta Pi Chapter volunteered to support raising money for local charities on June 2, 2010. Former Oakland Raiders Coach, Pro Football Hall of Famer and Emmy Award Winner John Madden and former San Francisco 49ers Coach, University of California - Berkeley Coach and current NFL Network broadcaster Steve Mariucci co-hosted the 12th Annual "Battle of the Bay" Charity Bocce Tournament.
This unique event that has brought famous athletes, celebrities, dignitaries and business leaders together in a venue dedicated to the old world game of bocce. Bay Area Professional Sports Teams were represented with players, coaches and high-level executives, as well as representation from the top Bay Area Educational Institutions and their Athletic and Academic departments. Also, Fortune 500 Companies will also be represented by corporate executives as well.
Over the past decade, this event has raised over $3 million dollars for local and national charities. The 2010 beneficiaries are Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Special Olympics, Easter Seals Bay Area's Kaleidoscope After-School Program and Tri-Valley High School Football. This year's tournament will include up to 700 people in attendance and brings out the competitive spirit for a good cause.
The "Battle of the Bay" tournament has provided excitement for the Northern California region and continues to grow in reputation. The Delta Pi Chapter came on strong in our support of SFSU's Fraternity & Sorority Council spring Greek Week. We participated in many events and promoted Greeks on campus in a positive fashion. As part of this event we placed second in the Phi Kappa Tau penny wars event that raised money for the Association for Hole in the Wall Camps.

| International Reunion Day 2010 |

The Delta Pi Chapter took part in the Annual International Reunion Day in San Francisco. The event was hosted by the San Francisco Bay Alum Club (Thanks Michelle & Jessica for all your hard work!). Special thanks to Whitney Beatty our Alum Relations Coordinator for helping with the event.
